Astigmatism

Astigmatism occurs as the cornea doesn’t bend the light same wise in all directions. This causes a blurred image in both close by as in further away objects. Astigmatism occurs when your cornea is shaped like an oval. Astigmatism often presents itself combined with near- or farsightedness and can be corrected with cylindrical glasses or contact lenses. This disorder can be corrected with an ARTISAN® lens. Also other "glasses replacing" methods are an option.
