Because we are dealing with a healthy eye, apart from the refraction, it is essential that you consider the risks before making a decision.

The risks could be:

• Infections

• Temporary elevated IOP eye pressure

Most cases can be treated post-operatively, but this is not always the case. Your quality of vision can get worse. Your consultant can inform you about the risks.
